What's the difference between Gloss and Matte Laminate?
Laminate with a gloss finish is smooth and shiny while matte Laminate is flat with little or no shine. Matte Laminate is more forgiving of fingerprints, smudges and dust. Also a Semi Gloss can be used at times which shows some sheen to it but but doesn't fingerprint like gloss. Gloss Lamination makes colors look smoother, deeper and richer. Photo's and graphics tend to look better when laminated with gloss and the Matte will make images look softer.
We offer many thicknesses of laminate from 15mil, 10mil, 5mil, 1.7mil. We use the thicker laminate 15mil for luggage tag applications, 10mil for Library Card/KeyTags and the thinner 1.7mil for protection over our photo book covers.
